How much does it cost?
It's a problem we all wrestle with, both as service providers, and as consumers of those services. When we ask for the cost of something, it's really about value, and how much we believe something is worth.
I invite you to consider how much YOU are worth: How much value do your experiences, skills and expertise bring to a situation, project or organization? How much do you get paid per hour? Is our time and expertise of equal value given the depth and nature of our education, training and experience in our respective fields? Are you in a financial position to pay a living wage that considers prep time and travel, where necessary? These are all considerations when we come up with a "fair" price for our collaboration.
A percentage of my work each year is done pro-bono or at a heavily reduced fee. My criteria for selection includes an organization's or individual's financial status, commitment to improving the planet and the lives of the creatures who live here, opportunities for my own professional growth and learning, and convenience of calendar alignment. Priority is given to Indigenous and/or female-led projects. Please reach out to explore further.
I love saying yes. But I also love my family, and want to look after their needs as well as their hopes, dreams and other aspirations.
Below are some suggested guidelines. Paying me fairly or gifting me one or more of the following for my time means I can say yes to more projects and more people more of the time!
